The company was founded by Simon O’Connor who left a senior position at Auckland Council to pursue his own development dreams.  He has the unique ability, having been a developer, consultant and council officer in his career, to bring certainty and relevant skills to add value to your development aspirations. Having worked within the consents and policy divisions of the council,  Simon understands where the opportunities lie for change and is an expert in developing sites.

Sentinel Planning is an approved and trusted consultant to Auckland Council and are often asked to act on behalf of Auckland Council in reviewing applications.  As such, they have an excellent contact list and are able to navigate projects through Auckland Council's processes.
