JARED BARTLETT | Planner
Jared has 6 years’ experience working as a professional planner, mainly within the private sector and is an Intermediate member of the New Zealand Planning Institute.
Jared’s planning career commenced in 2014 at a surveying consultancy up in Red Beach, where he acquired experience on a range of rural and residential land development projects.
After obtaining three-years of experience in Auckland, Jared decided to return to his roots and assumed the role of an Intermediate Planner at a larger multidisciplinary consultancy in the Bay of Plenty. Whilst working in the Bay of Plenty Region, Jared worked on land development projects in the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Northland regions. Jared worked on multiple rural and residential subdivisions and developments (from 2 allotments to large-scale greenfield developments), Regional earthworks and discharge consents and a variety of unique land use resource consents including sea walls; papakāinga housing; wedding venues; accommodation facilities; packhouse and coolstorage expansion; additions to retirement villages; industrial developments and a tourism adventure park.
Jared is also experienced in preparing land development feasibility studies and iwi consultation.
Following his wedding in May 2019, Jared joined the Sentinel Planning team and is enjoying the transition from working in the Bay of Plenty to working back up in Auckland. Jared has since gained extensive experience in obtaining combined land use and subdivision consents within the Residential (Single House, Mixed Housing Suburban, Mixed Housing Urban and Terrace Housing and Apartment Buildings) zones, predominantly for multi-unit developments. He is also an approved consultant to Auckland Council who processes applications on behalf of local authority.
Outside of work, Jared enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing the drums and hitting the gym.
