MARK ROSS | Director
Mark first commenced employment with North Shore City Council approximately 18 years ago, where he was responsible for processing a wide range of resource consent applications. He then travelled to the United Kingdom where he was employed by a number of local authorities in contract planning roles, processing applications from single story rear extensions to multi-million-dollar commercial and residential developments. Upon returning to New Zealand, he joined Auckland Council’s newly formed Major Infrastructure Team and was involved with a variety of infrastructure projects, which included the Western Ring Route motorway connection and all related consenting work. Mark then took up an opportunity with a private planning consultancy where he put his knowledge of the inner workings of Council to use and assisted clients in obtaining maximum potential and value for their proposed developments. In mid-2015, Mark was offered the opportunity to work at Sentinel Planning and has put his skills to use in helping Simon to grow the company and secure excellent outcomes for their expanding client base.
Mark enjoys all facets of planning, having been involved in almost every aspect, but his primary focus is on obtaining the end outcome desired by his clients, whatever that may be.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys ‘relaxing’ with his five girls, dining at ‘El Humero’ and playing darts, with a varying degree of success!
