Emma has 6 years’ experience in regulatory, having worked both in the public and private sectors. Emma worked at Auckland Council for 2 and a half years, being involved in both Monitoring and Compliance and Resource Consenting during her time there. Having been based in the Devonport-Takapuna team with Council, Emma has experience with Heritage consents, and since being with Sentinel has been involved in a wide range of heritage applications both in Devonport and in other heritage areas around the city. Emma has been with Sentinel Planning since July 2016, and has been involved in a wide range of projects for intensive residential developments and apartment complexes, subdivisions, childcare applications, and a range of commercial and recreational applications, including the consenting applications to upgrade Waiwera Thermal Resort. Emma also processes resource consent applications for Auckland Council in her capacity at Sentinel Planning, and was recently the consenting planner on the application to upgrade Dacre Park sports field in Devonport.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys a range of ‘adventure’ activities, including snowboarding, water-skiing and air-chairing, and has just returned from 2 months in Canada and the US on a snowboarding trip. She also enjoys hiking and getting outdoors with friends and family.
